I'm excited because of what we will be eating at Newton later today
You don't know how deprived I am of seafood Crying or Very sad since SO is allergic to them

sbst275 SG

You can exercise your rights you aren't happy.. How sad Crying or Very sad

Laughing

elindra SG

I rather no need to poll
No need to walk to the poll station on my rare Saturday off Crying or Very sad

sbst275 SG

Times have changed

Still remembered what my folks had said bef on exercising their rights Crying or Very sad

elindra SG

Laughing

sbst275 SG

Cos my folks is voting - Ang Mo Kio GRC

They always reminded the 3 of us how important it is to exercise our voting rights, they even talked back to the days post - independence when the pro - communist Barisan when to leave the parliment in 1966

elindra SG

Well, those were the days of disorder and unrest. Right now it's more of ensuring that we choose the right government to ensure that we have a future here with growing competition.

But as said before, I'm really not interested in Singapore Politics, not when the Opposition doesn't impress.

sbst275 SG

Yeah

I saw the WP's manifesto on Wikipedia just now, I do agree with them that govt is taking all the biz these days... But the rest inside the manifesto, I dun agree! Laughing

elindra SG

Anyway, there will always be the poor in every single country
It's how the government try to manage the problem
There is no way that everyone will be middle class.

It is a hard and sad fact that the rich will grow richer and the poor poorer, it's how to bridge the gap. Not easy though

sbst275 SG

Yeah lah

But biz, really they are doing the bulk these days, unlike Japan where SMEs and big corps cooperate

elindra SG

No longer true Laughing
Things are changing rapidly in Japan too
Instead of going through the long supply chain like before
Alot of companies are breaking out and going direct to the supplier.

sbst275 SG

Yeah...

Their manifesto is long, but really lots are really questionable.. Like set up indep panel on tution fee hike to see are they justifyable... Already $100 hike ppl complain, dun say a $50 fee hike Laughing

elindra SG

Laughing
But hor can you don't keep talk about politics in the morning or not Crying or Very sad

sbst275 SG
